The other night we had a rush of large parties come in around 5. One of these parties was on our call ahead list. Well call ahead does not mean you will be sat as soon as you walk in the door. It means you will be the next sat as soon as you arrive. These people were pissed that they had to wait two minutes for their table. It was a 7 top so we had to push the tables together. Are you serious people! Chill out the food isn’t going anywhere, if your in that big of a hurry go to a slower restaurant!
That same day, around shift change, we had another rush of people that came in. We had to tell a couple of parties to give us a couple of minutes for our servers that we had on to get caught up so we can give perfect service to them. These old bats came back with, “there are clean tables right there it’s stupid that we have to wait, so ridiculous.” My response, ” mam I just explained that our servers are busy at the moment and in order for us to give the best service possible I need for y’all to wait a couple of minutes.”
I will never understand why people think they are the only ones alive. Like we don’t have other customers to deal with.
